Interview with our Italian dealer, Pedetti Yacht Sales

«Menorquín has enjoyed exceptional success in the Italian market since its introduction in 1996»

How was Pedetti Yacht Sales founded and how has it evolved to this day?

Pedetti Yacht Sales was founded by Giancarlo Pedetti, who in 1995 took a major step by moving from Monza to the coast and establishing his company in the nautical sector, based in the marina of Lavagna. Within a few months of its foundation, Pedetti Yacht Sales became a distributor of Menorquín Yachts. Over the years, it has grown into a well-established company in yacht sales and nautical services, representing prestigious brands exclusively in Italy.

How has Menorquín been received in the Italian market?

Menorquín has enjoyed exceptional success in the Italian market since its introduction in 1996. We have sold more than 400 vessels in Italy, which reflects strong demand and high customer satisfaction. The brand stands out for its customer loyalty, with many owners upgrading to larger Menorquín models as their families grow.

What truly motivates and attracts an Italian owner to Menorquín?

What truly motivates and attracts an Italian owner to Menorquín is its timeless classic style combined with traditional wooden craftsmanship, now enhanced with a modern touch through the Sasga Yachts line. In addition, the seakeeping ability of a Menorquín is highly valued. It allows long passages with reduced fuel consumption and maximum onboard comfort.

How would you describe Italian nautical culture?

Italian nautical culture is deeply rooted and recognised worldwidedue to the country’s extensive coastline. Menorquín, now Sasga Yachts, has been perfectly integrated into the Italian nautical sector, especially within the traditional “gozzo” segment.

How does Pedetti Yacht Sales approach a constantly evolving industry?

The nautical sector is constantly evolving, and Pedetti Yacht Sales, in collaboration with Sasga Yachts, is at the forefront of these changes. As a leading dealer, Pedetti Yacht Sales has significantly contributed to the development of the Menorquín range and to the evolution of the Sasga Yachts range.
