Barcelona Boat Show 2026: An Incredible Edition at Port Vell

From October 14 to 18, we were at the Barcelona Boat Show in Port Vell, and we've returned to Menorca feeling that we've enjoyed a few truly special days. We were there alongside Hermanos Guasch, our dealer in Catalonia, with two yachts on display in the water: the Menorquín 34 HT and the Menorquín 42 FB.

What we'll remember most isn't the numbers. It's the number of people who stopped by our stand, stepped on board and stayed for a good long chat.

Where to Find Us at Port Vell

The Barcelona Boat Show 2026 takes place at Port Vell, right in the heart of Barcelona. For us, it's the perfect setting: the yachts are exactly where they belong, on the water, and visitors can step aboard, feel the wood, take a seat in the saloon and look out over the harbour from the helm station. If you're not familiar with the event, you'll find all the information on the official Barcelona Boat Show website.

The Two Menorquín Yachts We Brought to the Barcelona Boat Show

This year, we chose two models that, together, give a pretty good idea of what a Menorquín is all about: the most compact hardtop in the range and the 42 with its flybridge, which for many owners opens the door to longer journeys with more space on board.

Menorquín 34 HT: The Predecessor to the Menorquín 35 HT

The Menorquín 34 HT arrived at the Barcelona Boat Show with just a few engine hours, only those needed for the journey directly from our shipyard in Menorca. No one had used it before the show, and you could see how much that meant to visitors as they stepped on board.

It's a yacht designed for those who love the traditional lines of the Menorcan llaüt in an easy-to-handle size. Comfortable for outings as a couple or with the family, and straightforward to helm. If you'd like to know more, you can find all the details in the Menorquín 34 HT specifications. You can still visit the yacht at Hnos. Guasch's Marina Cambrils, in the Port of Cambrils.

Menorquín 42 FB

The Menorquín 42 with its flybridge was the other star of the show. Up top, the flybridge offers a second helm station with excellent visibility and an outdoor area for relaxing in the sun. Below, there's a bright saloon, two cabins and two bathrooms, while the semi-displacement hull provides the range needed for longer cruises. Like all our models, it is certified to CE Design Category A.

Many visitors asked us about the galley layout, which can be fitted either below deck or on the same level as the saloon. It's one of those details you can only really appreciate when you're on board. You can find all the details on the Menorquín 42 FB page.

A Busy Stand Throughout All Five Days

If we had to sum up the Barcelona Boat Show in one word, it would be turnout. From opening day right through to the last, our stand B61 and the dock were busy with visitors. At times, there was even a queue to step on board.

We welcomed owners who already have a Menorquín and wanted to see what's new. Families thinking about buying their first yacht. And plenty of curious visitors who simply stopped because a yacht had caught their eye from the dock. We had time to talk with all of them, and that means a lot to us.

Some old friends also stopped by just to say hello. Those visits don't show up in any statistics, but they're often the ones that make our day.

With Hermanos Guasch, Right at Home

Going to Barcelona with Hermanos Guasch feels like playing on home ground. They're our dealer in Catalonia, they know the local boating community better than anyone, and you can see it in every conversation they have on the dock.

Sharing a stand with them was a real pleasure: a great atmosphere, plenty of laughs and a reminder that the Sasga network is, above all, a group of people who know each other and genuinely enjoy working together. If you're in Catalonia and would like to see a Menorquín up close, they're the people to talk to.

Why We Love Attending Boat Shows

You can describe a Menorquín through photos, plans and technical specifications. But what really sets us apart becomes clear the moment you step on board.

It's the wood, the smell of the yacht, the light coming into the saloon, the feeling of being somewhere built with patience and care. That warmth is what we try to share at every boat show, and in Barcelona we could see it on so many faces as visitors stepped off the yachts. More than one told us they felt right at home.

That's why we keep coming back. Not simply to show our yachts, but to give people a sense of what it's like to be out on the water aboard a Sasga.

If you liked what you saw and would like to continue the conversation, feel free to get in touch with us or take a look at the history of our shipyard.

Thanks to the Media Who Joined Us

We'd like to extend a very special thank you to Skipper, Nautik, Mares, Panorama Náutico and The Islander for the interest they showed in our presence at the Barcelona Boat Show.

For a shipyard like ours, where every yacht is built in Menorca at its own pace, this boat show is a very important event. It's the time of year when we get closer to visitors from mainland Spain and show them in person what we've been working on for months at the shipyard. When the nautical press stops by our stand, steps on board and asks about the details, it helps our work reach an audience we couldn't reach on our own.

We also appreciate the way they approach their work. They take the time to understand the story behind a Menorquín, where its lines come from and why we build our yachts the way we do. That thoughtful, knowledgeable approach to nautical journalism fits very well with the way we work.

Thank you for coming, for your questions and for helping us share with more people what it feels like to be on board a Sasga.

Thank You, Truly

Thank you to everyone who stopped by stand B61 and berth A472, to those who stepped on board and those who simply came over to say hello. And a big thank you to Hermanos Guasch for organising everything so well and making us feel right at home.

We're leaving Port Vell with a great feeling and already looking forward to coming back. See you at the next boat show!
