The Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 has come to a close, and at Sasga Yachts we are left with one very clear feeling: it has been a resounding success. Once again, the Vieux Port and Port Canto brought together owners, dealers and friends of the brand in an atmosphere that, quite simply, is difficult to describe unless you have experienced it in person.
A Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 to Remember
This year's Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 took place from 8 to 13 September, across the Vieux Port, in the heart of Cannes, and Port Canto, at the end of La Croisette. More than 700 yachts were displayed on the water, with a constant flow of visitors throughout the six days of the show.
For a brand like ours, with more than forty years of history building yachts in Menorca, returning to this event every year is far more than a routine commitment. It is an opportunity to sit down with the people who will actually navigate our yachts, listen to what they are looking for and share what we are working on.

The best part of this year's Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, beyond any sale or business contact, was reconnecting with so many people. Friends of the brand who have been following us for years, dealers from different countries who stopped by to say hello between meetings, and curious owners who came over just to take a look and ended up spending half an hour talking yachts with us.
That sense of camaraderie is probably what we appreciate most after a year of hard work. Seeing the stand full, feeling the genuine interest of those who stopped to ask about every detail of the yachts, and realising that the affection for Sasga Yachts continues to grow from one show to the next. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who found time in their schedule to come and see us.
An Afternoon with Club Menorquín France
On Friday afternoon, we had a get-together that was particularly special to us: our friends from Club Menorquín France stopped by the stand to spend some time with us. Between laughter, conversation and a few drinks and snacks, the afternoon flew by.
These are moments that never appear on a technical specification sheet, but for us they matter just as much as any other meeting at the show. With them, and with so many other owners who have been with us for years, we maintain something that truly matters to us: staying in touch, continuing to listen to one another and feeling that Sasga Yachts belongs as much to the people who navigate them as to those who build them.
These gatherings are an opportunity we never want to miss: a chance to reconnect with clients and friends away from the usual pace and rush of a boat show, and simply enjoy some time to talk more calmly.
The Menorquín 36 Open: First Impressions of the Dayboat Arriving in 2027
We also took the opportunity during the show to reveal some details of our next launch, scheduled for 2027: the Menorquín 36 Open. A dayboat designed from the ground up, introducing a new concept to our range while retaining the Menorquín DNA that has defined us since the very first yacht left our shipyard.
The first reactions after revealing these initial details have been very positive. Those who came over to find out more were particularly drawn to the idea behind it: a yacht designed for enjoying everyday life on the water, without giving up the elegance and distinctive character expected of a Menorquín. There is still work ahead before its official presentation, but the response at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 confirms that we are heading in the right direction.
The Yacht We Brought to Cannes: the Menorquín 48 HT
For this year's show, we brought the Menorquín 48 HT, the hardtop version of our Menorquín 48 FB. And this is no ordinary model: the 48 FB was named European Powerboat of the Year 2026, an award that fills us with pride and prompted many visitors to come and discover its hardtop sibling.
The hardtop is about more than just the roof. By doing away with the flybridge structure, the 48 HT has a lower centre of gravity, and that can be felt in the way the yacht behaves on the water. Visually, the result is a sleeker, more classic profile that fits perfectly with the essence that has always defined the Menorquín range.
The yacht we brought to the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 was no ordinary 48 HT. It is a Signature model, scheduled for delivery in 2027, with an exceptionally high level of customisation, tailored to the specific requirements of the owner who commissioned it.
A 2027 Signature Tailored to Its Owner
Comfort and Style in Every Detail
Starting with the interior, this yacht features fully customised upholstery throughout, together with a complete galley integrated into the main deck, designed to make sure life on board never means compromising on comfort. The gauges and digital instrumentation are also new: they retain the distinctive Sasga Yachts aesthetic while offering much clearer, more immediate readings from the helm station.
For greater comfort when travelling, the yacht also features an additional refrigerator on the lower deck, along with a washing machine and dryer, making longer stays on board possible without giving up the everyday comforts of home.
A Layout Designed for Life on Board
The owner's cabin is located to port, with an additional door providing direct access to the bathroom, a small detail that makes a real difference in everyday use. Forward is a second VIP cabin, while to starboard there is a third cabin with bunk beds, ideal for guests or the younger members of the family.
Details That Make a Difference Every Day
Beyond the bespoke customisation, the yacht presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 features a series of details designed for real life on board, not just to look good in photos at the dock.
At the bow, this yacht is fitted with carbon poles that provide shade over the dinette, one of the defining spaces of the 48. A new spot to enjoy a quiet sunset or simply have a little more privacy when the yacht is moored in port.
At the stern, on the starboard side, it features an electric winch for greater control and holding power when mooring conditions require it. For swimming and easy access to the water, it is also equipped with a submersible platform and a retractable, electrically operated folding Opacmare gangway with a load capacity of up to 150 kg.
Finally, one of the defining features of this model: a completely step-free walkaround, making it much more comfortable and safer to move around the deck, whether manoeuvring or simply walking around the yacht.
Looking Ahead to 2027
With the stand now dismantled and our bags back in Menorca, we are already looking forward to 2027. It will be the year of the Menorquín 36 Open, the year we see the first Signature yachts like the one we exhibited in Cannes out on the water, and another year of growth, driven by the trust of everyone who is already part of this family.
