On the discreet and protected island of Menorca, where traditional llaüts blend with the beauty of the landscape and the sea, we continue to move towards a more sustainable horizon. At Sasga Yachts SL, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, charting a new course towards responsible boatbuilding.
Since 2023, the company has taken a further step by obtaining the “Organisational Carbon Footprint Management” certification under ISO 14064-1:2018 and the Local Sustainable Industry (ILS) label. A reduction of 43.85% in our carbon footprint is planned for 2025 compared to 2021 emissions.

What is the Carbon Footprint?
The carbon footprint is an indicator that measures “the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated directly or indirectly”. It is expressed in tonnes of CO₂ equivalent.
Why do we register our Carbon Footprint?
Registering and verifying our carbon footprint at Sasga Yachts «allows us to provide greater credibility to our calculations and reduction plan».
What is ILS?
ILS (Local Sustainable Industry) aims to “identify industrial companies in the Balearic Islands committed to the environment”.
Why does the company aim to reduce its footprint?
Our boats are designed and built in Menorca, a Biosphere Reserve since 1993. Therefore, Sasga Yachts must continue improving its production while taking environmental impacts into account.
