Students from CIFP Centre de la Mar (SOIB) visit the Menorquín Sasga Yachts shipyard

Visita estudiantes astillero CIFP Centre de la Mar

Yesterday, we welcomed to our shipyard 8 students enrolled in the Intermediate Vocational Training programme for Maintenance of Recreational and Leisure Craft.

It was a morning full of learning and discovery for the students from the “Centre de la Mar” in Mahón, who immersed themselves in the fascinating world of boatbuilding.

This visit gave the students the opportunity to explore in detail the manufacturing process of luxury vessels inspired by the island’s traditional boats. From the early stages in the GRP workshop to the carpentry shop, the students witnessed firsthand the meticulous process behind the creation of each Sasga Yachts vessel.

The importance of providing proper training to the island’s young people cannot be overstated, especially given its insular context. In an environment where the nautical sector plays a key role, offering education in areas related to navigation, shipbuilding and maritime professions is essential.

This visit was also very enriching for the Sasga Yachts team, who welcomed the students’ interest with enthusiasm and saw in them the next generation!
