SASGA was not born from a market opportunity, nor from a premeditated business plan. It was born from a sea, from an island, and from a man who knew how to listen to the silent knowledge of those who came before.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Menorca, silence is never empty. The wind speaks, the tides speak, the woods that wait to become hulls speak. And those who have grown up here learn early on to listen to that language.<\/p>\n

The story of Sasga begins long before the brand existed. It begins with a way of observing and working. With hands that knew how to interpret the sea and a vocation transmitted from generation to generation. With a craft that, in Menorca, has been carved by salt and wind.<\/p>\n

Juan Sastre knew how to recognise the value of that silent knowledge. When he founded Moton\u00e1utica Basilio \u2014in honour of his father\u2014 he was not creating a business: he was preserving a memory. A way of doing things that the island could not afford to lose.<\/p>\n

The decisive moment came when that world seemed to fade. The retirement of Petrus, mestre d’aixa, marked the end of an era. With him, an entire knowledge of the traditional craft of boatbuilding was extinguished. Juan Sastre took the baton and made a daring decision.<\/p>\n

The decision to build larger lla\u00fcts than usual in the Port of Ma\u00f3 was a brave one. Those vessels were not made for show, they were made for the sea. And in that decision the spirit that today defines every Menorqu\u00edn was born: criterion, craft and respect for the sea.<\/p>\n

Over time, that way of working became a brand culture. Sasga grew without renouncing its origin, deepening it. Modernising its tools, but preserving the soul of those first boatbuilders.<\/p>\n

Today, every Menorqu\u00edn still carries that heritage within. Not as nostalgia, but as criterion. As a clear way of deciding what should remain and what can evolve. Because at Sasga we believe that the future of a yacht is not built by forgetting where it comes from, but by understanding why it was thought of that way.<\/p>\n
