Juan Sastre lived his life with passion, a passion that shaped every step of his journey. Restless, visionary and
dreamer, he knew how to capture the essence of the smallest of the Balearic Islands and project it across the vast
international seas. The very same sea that forged his character taught him to recognize no limits, turning him into an
undisputed benchmark for the national nautical world. The passion of our founder is the essence that drives those who

THE FOUNDING MYTH<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

More than 60 years ago, Juan Sastre established his first nautical company in Menorca under the name Moton\u00e1utica Basilio, in honour of his father. In its early days, he sold small boats supplied by Petrus, a skilled artisan and \u00abmestre d\u2019aixa\u00bb. The business was thriving, but when Petrus retired in 1978, Juan Sastre was faced with a dilemma.<\/p>

This retirement would have marked the end for any other businessman. However, Mr Sastre, a man of the sea unfamiliar with defeat, decided to establish the birthplace of his legacy: Astilleros Menorca. At a time when a 33-palm bot was the largest boat in the Port of Mah\u00f3n, he set out to build lla\u00fcts of up to 45 palms.<\/p>

Thus, our founder began his journey, eventually reaching the most prestigious boat shows with his distinctive Menorcan vessels. His boundless entrepreneurship would succeed in keeping the traditional silhouette of the lla\u00fct alive in a modern nautical world. Loyal to their heritage, the Sastre family would engineer the evolution from fishing boat to the innovative yachts we build today.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
